CoreTough™ Core is a structural honeycomb, composite material. The honeycomb core is made using TSS’s proprietary core forming process. The core and is made from recyclable plastic and, therefore, is impervious to water, rust, corrosion, rotting, biodegrading, mold and swelling all of which decrease the life expectancy of the truck body and trailer. Because CoreTough™ Core is structural composite honeycomb, it is highly resistant to damage by impact. The result of its construction is that CoreTough™ is 11% lighter than traditional materials, 200% stronger than most other honeycomb materials and lasts 25% longer than traditional truck body and trailer construction materials. TSS has two “Application” patents for embedding cargo control posts in its CoreTough™ material. This embedment occurs on the inside of the CoreTough™ panel and creates a smooth, level inside wall for a truck body or trailer. This application is currently in use in the Moving and Storage industry.
